The rate they gave was very reasonable and it certainly shows with lots of tour busses and out of state/country licence plates. Another positive is that the restaurant overlooks the gorgeous Lake of the Woods. I do understand the staff is new so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. The baked potato accompanying it was undercooked unfortunately. I substituted shimp for pan fried walleye which was delicious and enjoyed it more than the steak. The steak I ordered Medium well, however was not evenly cooked - some parts were medium well, some parts medium and some parts medium rare. The starter salad was a fairly sized portion of mixed greens.

The Willows on the other hand was more expensive and the food wasn't as good. The cattail had decent fare with reasonable prices for any meal. They also have 2 restaurants, The Cattail Cafe and The Willows for more formal dining. Just off the casino floor they have a gift shop which has mostly snacks and clothing for purchase. They do have a ventilation system inside but still felt the smell was overpowering. I found however the cigarette smoke too much to take and had to end my playing time. The casino floor was well organized with a variety of new slots, game tables, vending machines and beverage stations. I encountered no delays, however I could see this as posing traffic congestion or an accident waiting to happen as there are only approximately 2 car lengths between the highway and the tracks. Immediately after turning off MN Hwy 11 I had to cross a set of railway tracks. Upon arriving in Warroad via MN 313, I initially had difficulty locating the casino and hotel as there were no signs directing me until there was one sign pointing to the old 7clans casino which is no longer in operation. This new version of the casino with added hotel opened up in September of 2014 and is an updated one compared to the original. It is located south of the town off MN state Highway 11. I stayed here at the new 7clans casino in Warroad.
